Together Gibraltar is a party that defends democracy and plurality as one of its core values. It is for this reason that the party has never attempted to stifle the opinions of its activists or executive members, even when some of these may be in conflict with some of the party’s core values and official positions. It has come to our attention that there have been doubts about certain public positions of TG executive members and whether these positions represent the official party line.

It is for this reason that Together Gibraltar would like to inform its members and the electorate at large of the party’s official communications policy.

We would like to make absolutely clear that Marlene Hassan Nahon, TG’s only MP and leader, is the ONLY OFFICIAL SPOKESPERSON of the party. There are, however, ways in which other members may also make ad hoc representations on behalf of the party, but these will be ALWAYS be disseminated by the party’s OFFICIAL channels, like the different social media channels, the party website and public media in the form of official press statements.

The party hopes it will continue to be a hub for freedom of speech and vibrant policy debate, and will continue to encourage participation from all sides of the political spectrum.
