Under this GSLP government, more and more workers are finding themselves on supply contracts. This leaves workers with poor job security, no career progression, and a lack of basic benefits like annual leave or sick leave.

These attacks are a heinous assault on our democracy and are precisely what Together Gibraltar talks about when we bring up the culture of fear in Gibraltar. The government is now admitting that they view political affiliations as an issue and will treat organisations differently if their members belong to the wrong party, or say the wrong thing on social media. 

Together Gibraltar extends its heartfelt appreciation to the dedicated teams of professionals and volunteers who have been tirelessly working to mitigate the damage caused by the recent oil spill, the third in as many years. The incident serves as a sobering reminder of the need to address the environmental and economic challenges posed by bunkering in Gibraltar.

Gibraltar needs a fairer deal for our young people: affordable rental properties, equal statutory parental leave and more diverse career opportunities.

Last night, our executive team passed a resolution making some changes to our management board.

Together Gibraltar reacts to Marlene Hassan Nahon’s statement with sadness and with deep gratitude. We want to make this statement to express our sincere appreciation for Marlene’s tireless and unwavering leadership but also to assure our members, and all of those seeking a change in Gibraltar, about the future of Together Gibraltar.        

The state of our streets is damaging our appeal to potential tourists and investors and fouling the areas where our children play.

These shallow arguments are a disservice to the Unite representatives supporting workers through a cost of living crisis and risk misinforming the public about basic economic realities.

Last week we were fortunate enough to host a meeting with members of the Gibraltar LGBTQ+ Committee to discuss the issues and discrimination still faced by the LGBTQ+ community in Gibraltar.

Together Gibraltar is gravely concerned by the revelations that some former Police Officers who were under investigation by the Police for serious offences have been given alternative employment in other Government departments with similar salaries. This is already a blatant disregard for the rule of law and an insult to the hard-working and honest officers who serve our community, and the fact that it is allowed under local law does not take away from the recklessness and impropriety of the decision.

Gibraltarians will not be passive bystanders of these discriminatory practices that belong to a bygone age of classism and injustice.
